At this juncture, you may want to ask, “What is a limiting belief ?”

A limiting belief is something that is holding you back from achieving your dreams, from using your full abilities and capabilities that God has already placed inside youmething that simply prevents you from becoming the best you.

The good news is, we can all break loose from every limiting belief we hold true to ourselves and the environment we which we live. Our believes stem from all that we have gone through in lives from our childhood till where we presently are. These occurences, good or bad  have unconsciously reprogrammed us, but hey I am here to tell you, your thoughts cannot hold you down forever if you do not want them to. What your mind can conceive, and believe, you will achieve.

You cannot become extraordinary if you do not break free from limiting belief. Ask yourself what are some of my limiting belief?

• Never entertain the thought that you are not good enough.
• I am not talented.
• I am stupid.
• I do everything wrongly.

Never underestimate yourself. There is so much in you.  I once heard a story about an elephant who was reprogrammed by his owners. He was chained to to a strong mahogany tree  in metal for a long period of time. Try as hard as he tried to break loose, he could not after trying so many times and failing, what do you think happened to the elephant? He finally gave up with the limiting belief that he would never try again once he was chained. His owners wanted to find out if their experiment had worked, so they now replaced the chain with a rope and tied it to a twig. They observed the elephant from afar and what do you think happened? He stayed put and did not bother to break loose. The owners had surely succeeded in making the elephant have a limiting belief on his ability to move and break loose.

It is the same with you, what have you believed in? Check again it might no longer be there.

It is amazing how teens grow up forgetting how to be grateful to the very parents who nurtured and cared for their every .  The whole of  society begins to degenerate when there is lack of appreciation to the right people in our lives- parents, teachers, preachers, doctors, think about any person in your life who has made it possible for you to be where you are today. You should be grateful for your siblings who have served as a source inspiration and challenge to you. Even for the people who seemingly appear to be hindrances in your life. They are there to make you strong, to make you reach for the stars.

Do you want to touch heaven? Then this is what you must do DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE..

This is an insightful story I normally tell teens who show signs of ingratitude. A man dejected in life decided to end it all  by hanging himself. He took of his shirt, trousers and finally his shoes, just then he heard a strange noise and noticed from afar  three disabled men. The first had no arms with which to wear and to look good in a shirt, the second had no legs and was in a wheel chair meaning he could not spot a lovely pair of trousers and the last man had no feet and was on cratches, he could not wear a decent  pair of   shoes. He looked again and this time started burst into tears realizing  his folly – not appreciating what he had taken for granted – arms, legs and feet. Do not look dejected neither lack confidence, there is more to you than meets the eye instead begin each day with a grateful heart!

The dejected and ungrateful man looked again and burst into tears realizing how ungrateful he had been all his life, not appreciating what he had been given all this time.
