YouTube Preview ImageWho has ever seen their mind? Your mind believe it or not is stronger than you know or can even imagine. Your mind has the power to create the exact life you want. You see when God created us, he created us in His own image and likeness, meaning we have the mind of Christ. This information alone should make you sit upright and begin to explore what your mind can do and where it can take you.

Where do you do most of your thinking? Your entire perception about life depends largely on the correct functioning of your mind. All your thought processes and patterns originate from your mind. The way you analyse and interpret life goes hand in hand with the results you see in your life. My book  The Teen With a Millionaire Mind-set  talks about how your mindset can actually draw you make your millions.

I once heard a story about a teen who was born with a disability. It was so bad that he was not able to use both his upper and lower limbs. There was however another abled teen who lived in that same neighbourhood as the disabled teen. Who out of these two in your opinion is likely to fulfill their destiny?

Surprisingly the disabled teen through the power and use of his mind became a celebrated author producing five novels every year. His disability did not deter him from using his mind. He exercised his mind day in day out until he eventually wrote volumes of his novels with a pen in his mouth. Incredible! How on earth could he do that with such disability, when we abled bodies are found wanting and are not sure what to do with our lives I hear you say.

The answer is in the power of the mind. His disability could not stop him from using his most powerful muscle, the human mind. Yes he could not physically exercise his legs and arms, but he could his mind.

What has been your own limiting belief? Is it that your mind is not taking you exactly where you plan on going or is it that you just keep on playing games over and over again with your mind?

I believe you have seen a body builder or you have personally engaged in building up some muscles. What happened when you decided to build that muscle? Did it happen overnight? Well I know all teen boys can easily answer this question and for teen girls the answer is, it does happen overnight, it takes time and alot of discipline.

You start by exercising a few minutes every day until the muscle begins to take shape, then you increase the repetitions of the same exercise, then you increase the number of minutes until the muscles form gradually. You then exercise to maintain the muscles.

Likewise if you want to exercise your mind you start gradually, you might decide to start reading for a few minutes a day, increase your reading time. Do some puzzles, get involved in mental activities, drilling yourself with questions, play sudoku, monopoly, scrabble, chess or any games that can get you mind thinking. You can decide to learn a new language, a new hobby, read scholastic articles from the internet, you do speed reading or even get into a group reading. Get your mind actively involved in seeking knowledge in stead of always sitting in front of the television or engaging in activities that slow down your brain.

To strengthen any muscle in your body, you have to work it out. Explore and find interesting ways to get your mind into an active mode. Work your mind out and she will serve you well, even well into your old age. Do not forget to feed it with the necessary nutrients too.
